Product Description
With The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and his other beloved novels, #1 New York Times bestselling author Nicholas Sparks has given voice to our deepest beliefs about the power of love. Now he brings us the long-awaited follow-up to The Notebook-a story of an ordinary man who goes to extraordinary lengths to win back the love of his life... After thirty years, Wilson Lewis is forced to face a painful truth: the romance has gone out of his marriage. His wife, Jane, has fallen out of love with him, and it is entirely his fault. Despite the shining example of his in-laws, Noah and Allie Calhoun, and their fifty-year love affair (originally recounted in The Notebook), Wilson himself is a man unable to express his true feelings. He has spent too little time at home and too much at the office, leaving the responsibility of raising their children to Jane. Now his daughter is about to marry, and his wife is thinking about leaving him. But if Wilson is sure of anything, it is this: His love for Jane has only grown over the years, and he will do everything he can to save their marriage. With the memories of Noah and Allie's inspiring life together as his guide, he vows to find a way to make his wife fall in love with him...all over again. In this powerfully moving tale of love lost, rediscovered, and renewed, Nicholas Sparks once again brings readers his unique insight into the only emotion that ultimately really matters.

3 out of 5 stars the wedding   August 13, 2010
avid reader (Jacksonville, NC)
Story was just OK. I predicted halfway through the book what the whole ending was going to be. Very short story. Good if you are looking for an easy beach read or something...however not a great novel. DEFINITELY not as good as his other stories, or the prequel to The Wedding...The Notebook. If you have not read the Notebook, read that first. It plays a big part in this story.

5 out of 5 stars "The Wedding"...   July 6, 2010

This is another awesome romance story by Nicholas Sparks, and again he didn't upset me with his story on this one. I recommend this story to everyone who enjoys reading romance stories out there. Take my word, I guarantee it.

5 out of 5 stars highly recommend   June 23, 2010
Avid Reader
This was a wonderful book and I would definitely recommend it to women who appreciate a good heart-felt love story. Except I highly recommend reading the Notebook first (also by Nicholas Sparks) for it is the first book in this series and made an enormous difference in the book when reading it. I started reading the Wedding before I read the notebook and I just didn't understand what the characters were talking about. Then I read The Notebook figuring out that it was a series and started loving the book and grasping the concept of it. It is a beautiful read and Nicholas Sparks did an exquisite job with it and I highly suggest it; again I say to women who appreciat a good heart-felt love story.

4 out of 5 stars Beautiful   June 22, 2010

This is a very easy and fast read. I read it in two days. The older you are the more you would like and relate to this book. I gave it to my grandmother and she loved it! It also has a very shocking end! I really enjoyed it but being a teenager it didn't have the effect on me it would've had if i was older. Still a great book. 4 Stars. :)

5 out of 5 stars A Pleasant Suprise   June 20, 2010
Melissa Felix
I purchased The Wedding as a part of the 4-for-3 special Amazon promotes. Can I just say I am a huge Nicholas Sparks fan and found the Wedding as a pleasant suprise. What I thought would be a mediocre book turned out to be one of my new favorites. It's hard to imagine that an author can write great books after great books, but Sparks has done just that. For me, The Wedding was an excellent read with a suprise ending. It reminds me that not all fairy tales start out with a picture perfect setting.
